Welcome to Calico Casa, my square of cyberspace where I post personal essays and general ramblings on everything from fashion to feminism, education to creativity.
I graduated in 2014 with a degree in English Literature and dived headlong into digital publishing, first at Mumsnet, a major parenting website, then at a tech startup. I'm currently working as a freelance journalist which I absolutely adore.
More about me: I won the Cosmopolitan Young Journalist of the Year Award in 2012 and was runner-up in the Modeconnect International Fashion Writing Competition 2014. I've written for publications like The Pool, Broadly, Cosmopolitan, Cosmo on Campus, ELLE, Closer, Sunday Times Style, New Statesman, Indy Voices, DIVA, All Walks Beyond The Catwalk, Mumsnet, The Huffington Post, Bloomsbury, Gadgette, Femsplain, For Books Sake and others. I'm also a reporter for Glammonitor, the fashion watchdog.

I was just going through some of my old posts and saw a comment from you. I'm so excited you're studying "abroad"! Of course, abroad to me means the other direction. How do you find Cali? I'm so glad I've found you again. Your blog is really lovely and I love reading about your mom, too.
